OmegaT 5 is the macOS application variant of OmegaT, a translation-memory tool for professional translation work. It helps translators reuse prior translations and organize work across project files.
- Fuzzy matching and match propagation help reuse translation-memory content.
- Projects can process multiple files and use multiple translation memories at the same time.
- User glossaries support recognition of inflected forms, with autocompletion also available.
- OmegaT supports formats including LibreOffice and Microsoft Office files, HTML, XHTML, PO, and plain text; it can exchange translation-memory data through formats such as TMX and XLIFF.
Install with brew install --cask omegat@latest. This cask installs OmegaT.app in /Applications. On Apple silicon Macs, running the application requires Rosetta.
