TrellisWM

TrellisWM is a native Swift menu-bar window manager by Dan Fessler. Dock windows beside each other, nest groups into deeper spaces, resize neighbouring windows at their seams, and zoom out to find a window or back in to focus. Each display keeps its own arrangement. Pro adds cross-app tab groups, saved views and URL commands for tools such as Raycast, Alfred and Shortcuts.

It requires an Apple Silicon Mac (M1 or later) with macOS 14 Sonoma or newer; Intel Macs are not supported. Accessibility permission is required to move and resize windows. Screen Recording permission is optional for window-content previews. It changes the desktop workflow and may conflict with other window arrangers; the official guide explains disabling macOS edge tiling and Stage Manager.

Every download begins with a 14-day Pro trial, without an account or card. Afterwards, Free continues with up to five docked windows per display. The website lists Pro at US$24/year or US$3/month, and a Mac-only Lifetime license at US$79. Lifetime includes future Mac versions but not the planned Windows edition. Prices may change.

This is the TrellisWM desktop application, not the TrellisUI web-layout framework. No public source repository or open-source license for the Mac application was verified; the framework's license does not apply. Windows is still in development. This listing is based on official documentation and static inspection of the 0.9.6 installer, not a hands-on usage test.
