About

Awesome Terminal Fonts is a font package for adding symbols to monospace text. This Homebrew cask installs three patched font files:

  • Droid+Sans+Mono+Awesome.ttf
  • Inconsolata+Awesome.ttf
  • SourceCodePro+Powerline+Awesome+Regular.ttf

The patched fonts are intended to bring symbols into monospace text, which can be useful for terminal prompts and other text displays. After installation, select the specific installed font in a compatible terminal or another application that lets you choose a font. This package installs fonts, not a terminal application.

Install with Homebrew:

brew install --cask font-awesome-terminal-fonts

The project also documents font maps that provide named shell variables for glyphs, but those maps are not among the three font files installed by this cask. See the project documentation for details.

How to install Awesome Terminal Fonts on Mac

  1. In Terminal, run: brew install --cask font-awesome-terminal-fonts
  2. Homebrew installs the font in ~/Library/Fonts, where Font Book can use it.

Uninstall Awesome Terminal Fonts and optional data cleanup

Uninstall command
brew uninstall --cask font-awesome-terminal-fonts

A regular uninstall removes the app and keeps its settings and caches.
