About

Fantasque Sans Mono is a monospaced font designed for programming, with a handwriting-like visual character. This Homebrew cask installs the Normal variant’s four OTF files; it does not install the separately named NoLoopK or LargeLineHeight variants.

Included styles:

  • Regular
  • Bold
  • Italic
  • Bold Italic

The project describes Latin letters, some accented characters, some Greek letters, and some arrows. Its italic styles use redesigned glyphs rather than simply slanting the upright forms. The project notes that not every glyph has been tested, so rendering may vary for some characters.

Install with brew install --cask font-fantasque-sans-mono. After installation, select the actual Fantasque Sans Mono font in a compatible application’s font settings. For coding, choose it in an editor or terminal that supports custom fonts; installing the cask does not install an application.

How to install Fantasque Sans Mono on Mac

  1. In Terminal, run: brew install --cask font-fantasque-sans-mono
  2. Homebrew installs the font in ~/Library/Fonts, where Font Book can use it.
