介紹

Typora is a desktop Markdown editor that combines writing and preview in the same document view. Markdown markers become formatted content as you type, while a source-code mode remains available for editing the underlying text. It suits notes, technical documentation and longer Markdown drafts without requiring a separate preview pane.

Writing and navigation

Use the file sidebar to browse documents, the outline to navigate headings, and Markdown syntax for links, images, lists, tables and code fences. The publisher documents support for mathematical notation and Mermaid diagrams, with rendering depending on supported syntax and the installed version. Focus and typewriter-style modes help keep the current writing area visible. Themes change appearance without changing the basic Markdown file format.

Files and export

Markdown documents are ordinary files on the selected filesystem. Images can be local or remote; a document with remote images is not fully independent of the network. Some image-upload integrations send files to an external service. Export workflows can depend on Pandoc, templates or additional configuration, rather than every conversion being built into the base app. Review exported formatting, formulas and image paths before sending a PDF or other converted document.

Mac setup and license

Download the official Mac DMG or install the typora cask. The exact current 1.14.10 DMG is 15,101,370 bytes, matching the official download and catalog. The main release channel provides current stable versions and a separate older-operating-system channel. Read-only inspection of this exact DMG confirms the main Typora executable contains x86_64 for Intel and arm64 for Apple Silicon. Its Info.plist identifies version 1.14.10, build 7786 and minimum macOS 11.0. The app was not installed or executed during this check. Optional export tools and integrations have their own requirements. Normal local editing works without a cloud account; online content, activation, updates or optional integrations can require connectivity.

Typora is proprietary paid software with a 15-day trial. The official page advertises activation on up to three devices; review the current purchase and license terms for the exact permitted use. A trial download is not an unlimited free license. The public documentation and theme resources do not make the application source open source.

Keep backups of important Markdown files and their image folders. Rendering, file paths and extensions can differ between Markdown tools, so test documents that depend on diagrams, HTML or unusual syntax in the intended reader. The release notes for 1.14.8 identify a security fix without publishing the vulnerability details; no identifier or exploit description is inferred.
