介紹

QCAD is a desktop application for computer-aided drafting in two dimensions. The official project describes it as a tool for technical drawings, including building plans, interiors, mechanical parts, schematics and diagrams. It runs on macOS, Windows and Linux or Unix systems.

Architecture and extensibility

The core is written in C++ using the Qt toolkit. Developers can extend the application through a C++ plugin interface or its ECMAScript/JavaScript scripting interface. The public QCAD 3 source code is released under GPLv3 with optional exceptions; script add-ons, plugins and bundled components can have their own licenses. Repository icons and documentation use Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 Unported.

This macOS distribution

Homebrew installs QCAD.app from an official trial DMG. The current recorded package is 3.33.1,13-26-qt6, with an arm64 artifact and a separate Intel artifact. The OS/Qt suffix describes packaging, not a distinct upstream release. The open-source license of the repository should not be treated as proof that all components of the commercial trial distribution have the same license. QCAD 安全嗎？
