Présentation

HackGen NF is the Nerd Fonts edition of HackGen, a programming typeface by yuru7 that combines Hack's Latin characters with GenJyuu-Gothic Japanese characters. The official README describes added icon glyphs including Font Awesome, Powerline symbols, hinted Latin text, visible full-width spaces and differentiated characters for improved readability.

This Homebrew package installs four TrueType files: HackGenConsoleNF Regular and Bold, and HackGen35ConsoleNF Regular and Bold. The standard family uses a half-width-to-full-width ratio of 1:2; the HackGen35 family uses 3:5. Console variants retain Hack-based glyphs more broadly, so many symbols such as arrows are half-width.

These fonts can be selected in editors and terminal applications; they are not a standalone desktop program. The NF archive contains the Nerd Fonts composite edition, distinct from the ordinary HackGen archive. Since version 2.7.0, upstream uses HackGen* NF family names rather than the older HackGenNerd* names.

Install with brew install --cask font-hackgen-nerd. Homebrew installs the four fonts into the user's Library/Fonts directory. Upstream notes that Homebrew packaging is contributed by users and is not supported by the repository owner.

Comment installer HackGen NF sur Mac

  1. Dans « Terminal », exécutez : brew install --cask font-hackgen-nerd
  2. Homebrew installe la police dans ~/Library/Fonts, où Livre des polices peut l’utiliser.

Installer sans Homebrew

Téléchargez le même fichier que Homebrew : github.com/yuru7/HackGen/releases/download/v2.10.0/HackGen_NF_v2.10.0.zip

Désinstaller HackGen NF et nettoyer éventuellement ses données

Commande de désinstallation
brew uninstall --cask font-hackgen-nerd

Une désinstallation standard supprime l’app mais conserve ses réglages et ses caches.
