brew install --cask opennavo

Notes de version

  1. 0.1.16

    Dernière version

    Improvements

    • Reduce recurring CPU, filesystem and database work in background security scans, firewall activity and fan monitoring while retaining five-second fan keepalives.
    • Retry rejected startup probes on later scans, detect atomic download replacements and keep fallback polling paced when filesystem events disconnect.
    • Improve resource-monitor sampling, process readings and chart updates.
    • Improve App Store installation handling for package signatures, install paths and administrator prompts.
    • Collect anonymous daily usage automatically, including background operation. Reports contain a random installation identifier, time, platform, app version and language; the previous Settings toggle has been removed.

    Known issue

    • A SQLite SIGBUS crash observed during earlier validation has not been conclusively reproduced and resolved.
  2. 0.1.15

    Improvements

    • Add optional anonymous usage statistics for running Mac installations, including background operation. Collection is off by default and can be enabled in Settings; reports contain only a random identifier, time, platform, app version, and language. Turning it off clears the local identifier and pending reports.
    • Check for OpenNavo updates hourly while automatic checks are enabled, instead of stopping after the first successful check of the day.
    • Keep startup Homebrew refreshes from suppressing scheduled checks across all selected update sources.

    Known issue

    • A SQLite SIGBUS crash observed during earlier validation has not been conclusively reproduced and resolved.
  3. 0.1.14

    Improvements

    • Speed up full security scans with two isolated workers and a clean-file cache. Show live progress and let users force a fresh scan.
    • Add process grouping by app and a CPU usage breakdown, including completed child processes and OpenNavo itself.
    • Explain signature issues in a dedicated view and offer the existing uninstall review flow.
    • Improve catalog synchronization, update failure details, and selection of Mac downloads by chip.
    • Let users clear finished task history while preserving records that can still be undone or rolled back.
    • Explain why administrator access is requested and localize macOS permission text in all six supported languages.

    Known issue

    • A SQLite SIGBUS crash observed during earlier validation has not been conclusively reproduced and resolved.
  4. 0.1.13

    New features

    • Add an optional outbound application firewall with per-app and destination rules, connection prompts, activity history, and blocklists. Enable it in OpenNavo and approve the macOS system extension and network filter when prompted.
    • Provide firewall controls and explanations in all six supported languages. If the extension cannot connect, the app reports its status and any required restart.

    Improvements

    • Improve menu-bar panels so they open without bringing the main window forward and dismiss consistently.
    • Improve App Store account-status messages and report a missing download helper explicitly.
    • Keep startup-item switches responsive during scans and prevent stale scan results from reverting changes.
    • Protect live SQLite files and their aliases from security scans to preserve database locks.
    • Expand the website's security pages and keep eligible apps paused only by the catalog freshness rule available for search indexing.

    Firewall limits

    • The firewall controls outbound TCP and UDP connections. Unknown connections are allowed when the app is unavailable or a prompt times out; this is not a fail-closed network boundary.
    • Domain rules need a hostname supplied by macOS. Connections without one can match IP, port, and app rules instead.

    Known issue

    • A SQLite SIGBUS crash was observed during earlier validation. This version adds database-lock protections and regression tests, but the original crash has not been conclusively reproduced and resolved.
  5. 0.1.12

    New features

    • Inspect app security findings, scan downloads with an independent ClamAV engine, and manage supported startup items.
    • Discover and manage Mac App Store apps through the native Store integration. Downloads and installations depend on your App Store account and macOS support.
    • Check for and install supported native app updates from Sparkle, Electron, GitHub, and curated vendor sources, with identity verification and rollback support where available.
    • Browse developer-download apps alongside Homebrew apps, with source-aware details and download links across the desktop app and website.

    Improvements

    • Add matching catalog and update-source support to the server and MCP, with interface text in all six supported languages.
    • Improve multilingual page titles, descriptions, and canonical URLs on the website.

    Open-source distribution

    • OpenNavo's own source now uses GPL-3.0-only. Third-party components retain their licenses and notices.
    • Include the corresponding source archive for the bundled ClamAV engine with this release.

    Known issue

    • One macOS validation session encountered a SQLite SIGBUS crash after app updates. The root cause remains unidentified; subsequent stress tests did not reproduce it.
