Mixxx

Mixxx is DJ software for performing live mixes with digital music files. This Homebrew cask installs the Mixxx snapshot build as a macOS app, rather than the regular mixxx cask.

• Analyze BPM and musical key to help choose tracks; Sync Lock can match tempo and beats across four songs.
• Use built-in DJ controller mappings, or customize mappings to support MIDI or HID devices.
• Apply and chain sound effects during a mix.
• Control digital playback and scratching with turntables and timecode vinyl; vinyl passthrough lets you mix records into a set.

Install with brew install --cask mixxx@snapshot. The cask places Mixxx.app in /Applications. It requires macOS and conflicts with the mixxx cask, so the two casks cannot be installed together. The snapshot is a pre-release build; the supplied package identifies it as an alpha snapshot.
