To Audio Converter is a macOS app for converting audio and extracting audio from video. It can export to MP3, WAV, FLAC, AIFF, M4A/MP4, and AAC, with automatic settings or controls for codecs, bit rates, channels, sample rates, and quality.
- Batch-process files and folders, with options for destination folders and preserving the source folder structure.
- Adjust sound during conversion with volume normalization, voice-recording volume control, fade-in and fade-out, and silence trimming.
- Preserve existing tags and artwork, and retrieve missing metadata and artwork from local folders or online services.
- Split albums or DJ sets into tracks using CUE files; extract multiple audio streams from video when available.
- Optionally add converted files to an iTunes playlist.
Install with brew install --cask to-audio-converter, then open To Audio Converter from Applications and drop in files, folders, or Internet links to begin. Automatic settings are intended to make conversion straightforward; Preferences provide controls for customized exports. The app does not convert DRM-protected files.
