About

This Homebrew cask installs selected ProFont Nerd Font files, not an application. The files are based on ProFont and include Nerd Font glyph additions. The package contains six TTF files:

  • ProFontIIxNerdFont-Regular.ttf and ProFontWindowsNerdFont-Regular.ttf
  • ProFontIIxNerdFontMono-Regular.ttf and ProFontWindowsNerdFontMono-Regular.ttf, with monospaced Nerd Font glyphs
  • ProFontIIxNerdFontPropo-Regular.ttf and ProFontWindowsNerdFontPropo-Regular.ttf, with proportional Nerd Font glyphs

The Mono and Propo labels distinguish the width treatment of the added Nerd Font glyphs; they do not establish that every glyph in the underlying font has that width. Nerd Fonts add icon glyphs to programming fonts, including glyph collections such as Font Awesome, Material Design Icons, and Octicons. This package installs only the six named ProFont files, rather than a complete archive of font styles.

Install with brew install --cask font-profont-nerd-font. After installation, select the specific installed font in a compatible application. Use a monospaced option in an editor or terminal when you want a coding or fixed-width display. Installing the cask does not install an application. The listed font files do not establish full Unicode coverage or ligature support.
