About

Libertinus is a collection of typefaces for text, mathematics, and specialized display uses. The Homebrew cask installs these OpenType files: Libertinus Serif regular, italic, semibold, and bold styles; Libertinus Sans regular, italic, and bold; Libertinus Mono; Libertinus Math; and the single files Libertinus Serif Display, Libertinus Serif Initials, and Libertinus Keyboard.

  • Serif: Regular, italic, semibold, and bold files support a range of text styles.
  • Sans: Includes regular, italic, and bold files.
  • Monospace: Libertinus Mono is available for fixed-width text; select it in a compatible editor or terminal to use it for coding.
  • Math and special-purpose faces: Libertinus Math is an OpenType math typeface for applications with OpenType math support. Serif Display is designed for large sizes, Serif Initials has outlined capital letters for drop caps or decoration, and Keyboard draws key outlines around characters for technical documentation.

Install with brew install --cask font-libertinus. After installation, choose the specific installed Libertinus font in an application’s font settings to use it; this cask installs fonts, not a separate application. The files alone do not establish full Unicode coverage or ligature support.
