FreeFont
A font collection that installs selected FreeSans, FreeSerif, and FreeMono styles for use in compatible applications.
About
FreeFont is a collection of OpenType fonts installed as individual files. The Homebrew cask installs selected styles from three families: FreeSans, FreeSerif, and FreeMono.
- FreeSans includes regular, bold, oblique, and bold oblique styles.
- FreeSerif includes regular, bold, italic, and bold italic styles.
- FreeMono includes regular, oblique, bold, and bold oblique styles.
- The cask installs these 12 font files in
~/Library/Fonts; it does not install an application.
Install with brew install --cask font-freefont. After installation, select the desired FreeSans, FreeSerif, or FreeMono style in a compatible application’s font settings. FreeMono is the monospaced family and can be selected in an editor or terminal that supports custom fonts; FreeSans and FreeSerif can be selected where those font styles are supported.
The installed files are the specific styles listed above; installing this cask does not mean every possible style or variant is included. The supplied information does not establish language coverage or ligature support.
