Présentation

Lato is a sans-serif typeface family designed by Warsaw-based designer Łukasz Dziedzic, begun in summer 2010. Its name means “summer” in Polish. Originally developed for a corporate identity, it was released publicly after the client chose a different stylistic direction.

The design aims to remain unobtrusive in body text while showing distinctive character at larger sizes. Classical proportions, especially in the uppercase letters, combine with semi-rounded details and a stable structure. The family is distributed under the SIL Open Font License.

The Homebrew cask installs 18 TrueType font files, including upright and italic variants ranging from Hairline and Thin through Medium, Semibold, Heavy and Black. This is a font installation, not a standalone application. Homebrew records its version as latest and uses an unchecksummed, mutable Lato2OFL.zip download; that label does not establish a numbered upstream release.

Dans « Terminal », exécutez : brew install --cask font-lato
