Beschreibung

STIX is a typeface project intended to support scientific and engineering publishing, from manuscript preparation through electronic and print publication. This cask installs nine OpenType font files: eight STIX Two Text styles—Regular, Medium, SemiBold, and Bold, each in upright and italic forms—and STIX Two Math Regular.

The project describes the fonts as designed for scholarly and general-purpose software, including word processors and web browsers. Its character set draws on Unicode and includes extensive Latin, Greek, and Cyrillic coverage, but it does not contain every Unicode value. The installed files include text and math faces; they do not establish coverage for every script or symbol.

Install with brew install --cask font-stix. After installation, select the desired STIX Two Text style or STIX Two Math in an application’s font chooser. This package installs fonts, not an application. For mathematical typesetting, choose STIX Two Math where the software supports math fonts; for ordinary text, choose a STIX Two Text style.
