Beschreibung

Red Hat is a typeface family comprising Red Hat Display, Red Hat Text, and Red Hat Mono. It is a collection of fonts, not an application.

  • Display styles are designed for headlines and prominent text, with tight spacing and open counters.
  • Text styles use more generous spacing and narrower proportions, intended to support legibility at smaller sizes.
  • Mono provides monospaced fonts for uses such as code and terminal text.
  • The installed files include selected roman and italic styles, including variable-font files. The family’s variable fonts use a wght axis to vary weight.
  • The fonts are distributed under the SIL Open Font License, Version 1.1.

Install with Homebrew using brew install --cask font-redhat. After installation, select the installed Red Hat font you want in a compatible application’s font menu. For coding or terminal use, choose a Red Hat Mono style in a compatible editor or terminal; installing the fonts does not install an application.

This cask installs specific font files, not every style in the broader family. The included files do not establish full Unicode coverage or support for ligatures. When using variable fonts, the project recommends choosing either the variable-font files or the standard named variable fonts, rather than both.

So installieren Sie Red Hat auf dem Mac
