Beschreibung

Fira Code is a monospaced font designed for reading and writing code. It renders common sequences such as -> and <= as connected symbols, while the underlying text remains ASCII-compatible.

This Homebrew cask installs static regular, light, medium, Retina, semibold, and bold font styles, plus a variable font. Fira Code is a font package, not an application. The project also describes character variants, stylistic sets, and other OpenType features that can be configured in supporting software. The font includes glyphs for arrows and console-style interfaces, as well as selected mathematical symbols; it does not provide full Unicode coverage.

Install with brew install --cask font-fira-code. After installation, select “Fira Code” or the installed variable-font family in your editor or terminal’s font settings. Ligatures are a rendering feature, so the application must support them and may require enabling them in its settings. The project lists compatible editors and terminals, but support varies by application.
