Choose tools for remote help, private connectivity or session management.

To help someone use their computer, start with a remote desktop tool; for your own devices, establish private connectivity and add connection management as needed. Desktop access, networking and session management serve different purposes, so do not install everything; obtain device authorization and keep management ports off the public internet.
- Remote desktop with optional own relay; open-source client. Server Pro and hosting cost extra; Mac needs screen/control consent.
- Private connectivity, not a remote desktop; free Personal and paid organizational plans. Account and VPN approval required.
- Alternative for remote assistance; client free for personal/business use. Central Dashboard has separate plans.
- Manage existing RDP, SSH and VNC sessions, not network reachability; free mode has connection limits, full use needs a license.
