Tinycast 0.12.8 was released on 2026-11-04, fixing clipboard and window-handling bugs while adding custom AI request headers, file and folder favorites, a Notes menu bar item and compact palette shortcuts.

• Clipboard batch trimming and stale file previews are fixed, and HTML-only and RTF-only copies are recorded in clipboard history.
• Onboarding completion and initial language selection are improved, and translation pairs are matched against the installed locale.
• The running dot clears as soon as an app quits, and Volume Up/Down keeps moving on devices that store a level off the grid.
• AI API connections can send custom request headers, Apple Intelligence chats are sent no instructions, and AI chat gains an Expand thinking setting.
• File and folder favorites are added, and the search scope picker can choose folders.
