About
Tinycast is a small, fully native macOS launcher that puts apps, files, clipboard history, snippets, notes and windows behind one keystroke. It is open source and runs without an account or telemetry.
What you can do
- Find any app by typing a few letters, pin favorites and see which apps are running.
- Search files and folders, and keep file and folder favorites.
- Browse clipboard history, save snippets, and keep notes in a menu bar item.
- Use an inline calculator for math, units, currencies, time zones and dates such as “days till 9 Apr”.
- Manage windows with move-to-edge commands and move fullscreen windows between displays.
- Run quick AI actions, use dictation with optional start and stop sounds, and insert emoji and symbols.
- Extend Tinycast with extensions and deeplinks.
Privacy and requirements
Tinycast runs locally, requires no account and collects no telemetry. It uses under 100 MB of memory and has zero dependencies. Tinycast requires macOS 26 or later and runs on Apple silicon and Intel Macs. It is released under AGPL-3.0.
