About
SoundSource provides audio controls for your Mac from the menu bar. It lets you adjust system audio devices and manage sound separately for individual applications.
- Change volume for individual apps, mute them, or redirect their audio to a different output device.
- Adjust settings for system output, input, and sound-effects devices, including volume, input levels, balance, and sample rate.
- Apply built-in audio effects, including a 10-band equalizer, or use Audio Units for app-specific or system-wide processing.
- Send audio from selected apps to AirPlay devices, including multiple devices grouped for playback.
- Use Mac keyboard volume keys with outputs that do not support those keys, and trigger audio adjustments through Shortcuts workflows.
Install this Homebrew test cask with brew install --cask soundsource@test. The cask requires macOS 15 or later and conflicts with the soundsource cask. The official download is offered as both a free trial and the full version; the full version is unlocked with a purchased license key. The Homebrew cask installs SoundSource.app in /Applications.
