About

PlayMemories Home is Sony software for managing and editing photos and videos on a Mac. It includes basic still-image and video editing, as well as a tool for composing footage from up to four cameras into one multi-view video.

  • Trim and merge videos, create a still image from video, and rotate videos or still images.
  • Compose images from as many as four cameras into a single multi-view video.
  • Sony identifies OS X v10.10–10.11 and macOS 10.12–10.13 as the recommended operating-system environment, with a display of at least 1,024 × 768 pixels.
  • Sony lists specific unsupported camera models, including ILCE-1, ILCE-6700, ZV-E10, and DSC-RX10M5; check Sony’s camera support information for the full list.

To install the macOS package with Homebrew, run brew install --cask playmemories-home. Sony’s download service for the Mac version was originally scheduled to end in 2020, but Sony says downloads remain available. Feature availability may vary by country or region.
