About

pen.dev is a design canvas for creating interfaces and visual assets with AI agents, then refining them manually.

• Work with agents directly on the canvas, connect external agents through MCP, or design headlessly with the pen.dev CLI. • Import webpages as editable layers through the built-in browser, and import .fig files or paste content from Figma. • Build reusable components and shared UI libraries, with variables and flex layouts. • Edit vector paths, gradients, masks and image effects, and turn bitmap images into editable vectors. • Export frames as HTML and CSS/Tailwind, PDF, PNG, JPEG or WEBP, and share designs by link.

For designers and developers creating websites, mobile app interfaces and marketing visuals. The open .pen design format uses JSON. Model connections can use a ChatGPT or Claude subscription, API keys, MCP, WebMCP or CLI.

Homebrew compatibility: macOS 13 or later on Apple Silicon and Intel Macs; Rosetta is not required.

Install: brew install --cask pen Official website: https://www.pen.dev/
