Notion Calendar
Notion Labs, Inc. · A calendar workspace combining supported calendar accounts, scheduling tools and date-based Notion databases.
About
Notion Calendar brings calendar events and date-based Notion databases into one scheduling interface. It suits people coordinating work/personal calendars, meetings and project dates. The official help center currently supports Google Calendar, Apple iCloud and Microsoft Outlook accounts; connected calendars appear together, with event creation/editing, multiple time zones, availability sharing, menu-bar meeting access and conferencing connections.
Requirements and installation
The Calendar-specific apps guide states macOS 11 or newer. The publisher offers Mac downloads and web/mobile alternatives; this fixed catalog points to the 1.139.0 Apple Silicon ZIP. Its versioned official endpoint reports 124,955,045 bytes in HTTP Content-Length. The exact archive's executable architecture was not independently inspected, and the current universal-download label does not prove the older catalog artifact is universal. Choose a compatible Mac build. Numeric minimum RAM requirements are not published in the checked Calendar guide; many connected calendars and integrations can affect performance.
Extract the official ZIP, move the app to Applications and launch it. Sign in with Notion; if needed, the signup flow creates a Notion account using your email. Connect at least one supported calendar and authorize the requested access. Work/school administrators can restrict OAuth applications. iCloud requires an Apple app-specific password, which can be revoked in Apple account settings; use that credential rather than your normal Apple account password.
Events and Notion integration
Manage calendars in Settings, choose which events appear in the menu bar and configure default conferencing. Editing or deleting an event can affect the underlying calendar and invitees, so verify the selected account and organizer before changing shared events. Calendar subscriptions must be created in the underlying calendar service where documented; adding a subscribed calendar in Notion Calendar is not the same as subscribing to a new feed.
Connect Notion workspaces separately and add databases with a date property. The official guide permits up to 20 connected databases; Notion database items displayed in Calendar do not automatically appear as Google/iCloud calendar events. Workspace/page permissions still apply. Zoom, Google Meet and other connections have their own authorization and account requirements. Enable notification/calendar integration permissions only as needed, and verify the time zone before sending availability links.
Fees, privacy and network use
The publisher presents Notion Calendar as free. Paid Notion workspace features or external conferencing/provider plans are separate. Calendar is proprietary cloud-connected software, not an offline-only local calendar or a general CalDAV client. A Notion account, authorized provider account and network connectivity are needed for account synchronization; exact offline behavior is not established by the checked guides.
The security guide says data is encrypted at rest using AES-256 and in transit using TLS 1.2 or later, and that AWS infrastructure is located in the United States. These are publisher security statements, not proof of end-to-end encryption or a no-telemetry guarantee. Review Notion's privacy terms and connected-provider scopes before exposing private calendars. The account guide explains that losing access to the linked Notion account can also remove your access to Calendar; retain a reachable login email and revoke unused connections.
The official desktop screenshot is genuine publisher media with a historical calendar example, not a verified 1.139.0 capture. Exact official desktop changes for catalog 1.139.0, 1.138.0 and 1.137.0 were not found in the public sources checked; no generic or mobile release notes are substituted for them.
