LinearMouse is a mouse and trackpad utility for macOS. This Homebrew cask installs the beta variant of the app as LinearMouse.app in /Applications; it is distinct from the regular linearmouse cask, and the two conflict with each other.
The app lets you:
- Set different controls with profiles for different devices, apps, or displays.
- Adjust scrolling, including using different scroll directions for a trackpad and a mouse.
- Tune pointer speed and acceleration, restore system defaults, or turn acceleration off.
- Remap mouse buttons and scroll actions to shortcuts, media controls, Mission Control, and gesture-driven workflows.
Install this beta variant with brew install --cask linearmouse@beta, then open LinearMouse.app from /Applications. The cask requires macOS. Its Homebrew installation is the beta release channel, not the regular cask.
