About

GPG Suite Pinentry is the graphical Pinentry component packaged for GPG Suite on macOS. This entry covers the gpg-suite-pinentry cask, not the full GPG Suite: its installer selects the Pinentry component, and the package describes it as a GUI for GPG Suite.

  • Provides a graphical Pinentry interface for use with GPG Suite.
  • Installs through a macOS package installer included in the download.
  • Conflicts with the gpg-suite, gpg-suite-no-mail, and gpg-suite@nightly casks; do not install it alongside those casks.

Install with brew install --cask gpg-suite-pinentry. If GPG Agent does not use the installed program automatically, the cask advises setting pinentry-program in ~/.gnupg/gpg-agent.conf to /usr/local/MacGPG2/libexec/pinentry-mac.app/Contents/MacOS/pinentry-mac.

The package is intended for macOS and is a component rather than the complete GPG Suite. The official GPG Suite site describes other products and suite capabilities; those are not included in this entry as features of Pinentry.

Caveats

You may need to set "pinentry-program" in `~/.gnupg/gpg-agent.conf` as follows:

  pinentry-program /usr/local/MacGPG2/libexec/pinentry-mac.app/Contents/MacOS/pinentry-mac

An open-source interface for Homebrew. Installs run through the macOS app or the brew command.
