Source Han Serif VF
Adobe · A variable OpenType Pan-CJK serif font, installed as a single font collection file.
About
Source Han Serif is an OpenType Pan-CJK font family. This Homebrew cask installs the variable-font collection variant, rather than the project’s other font configurations.
- The installed artifact is
SourceHanSerif-VF.otf.ttc, an OpenType font collection file. - Source Han Serif is designed for Chinese, Japanese, and Korean typography; the project identifies regional forms for China, Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, and Taiwan.
- This is a font, not a font-editing application. The cask installs one collection file, not every configuration offered by the project.
Install it with brew install --cask font-source-han-serif-vf. After installation, select the actual Source Han Serif variable font in a compatible application’s font menu. The font can then be used for typesetting and text display where the application supports it.
The project also offers other configurations, but they are not included by this cask. The installed file alone does not establish complete Unicode coverage or support for particular OpenType features in every application.
