About

Red Hat Mono is a monospaced font family available through this Homebrew cask. The cask installs two variable TrueType font files: an upright style and an italic style. It installs these font files, not a separate application.

  • Includes RedHatMono[wght].ttf for the upright style.
  • Includes RedHatMono-Italic[wght].ttf for the italic style.
  • Both files are installed in the user’s ~/Library/Fonts folder.

Install it with brew install --cask font-red-hat-mono. After installation, select the installed Red Hat Mono font in an application that supports custom fonts. For coding, choose it in a compatible code editor or terminal.

The cask’s files establish which styles are included, but do not establish full Unicode coverage or ligature support.
