About

Pretendard GOV is a font variant in the Pretendard family, which the project identifies as suited to South Korean public-service environments. The supplied Homebrew cask installs nine static OTF font files; it does not install a separate application.

The installed weights are Thin, ExtraLight, Light, Regular, Medium, SemiBold, Bold, ExtraBold, and Black. This gives you a selection of fixed-weight styles from very light through heavy. The files are placed in the user's ~/Library/Fonts directory.

To install with Homebrew, run:

brew install --cask font-pretendard-gov

After installation, choose the installed Pretendard GOV font and desired weight in a compatible application that offers font selection. Installing the files does not automatically select the typeface in every application. The listed font files establish which styles this cask installs; they do not establish complete Unicode coverage or ligature support.

The project's broader Pretendard documentation also describes other family variants and web-font resources, but those are distinct from the specific Pretendard GOV OTF files installed by this cask.
