LXGW WenKai GB is an open-source Simplified Chinese typeface derived from Klee One. Its character and stroke forms were revised with reference to mainland Chinese standards, while retaining some stylistic details of its source.
The Homebrew cask installs six font files: proportional LXGWWenKaiGB in Light, Regular, and Medium, plus monospaced LXGWWenKaiMonoGB in the same three weights. The project describes coverage for modern Simplified Chinese use and support for Unicode variation sequences to select punctuation width and position. It notes that the design may not suit educational materials requiring extremely strict standard forms.
