About

Ligature Symbols is a font by Kazuyuki Motoyama for displaying symbols through ligatures. Its published Unicode table includes glyphs for common interface actions, devices, media controls, navigation, and named service logos. The website also shows HTML and CSS examples for using the font on web pages.

The Homebrew cask installs one font file: LigatureSymbols-2.11.otf. It does not install an application. After installation, select Ligature Symbols as the font in a compatible application to view its glyphs; for web use, follow the site's HTML and CSS examples.

To install it, run:

brew install --cask font-ligature-symbols

The published character table is useful for identifying the symbols provided, but it does not establish full Unicode coverage or support for ligatures in every application. The project website states that the font is available under the SIL Open Font License.
