IBM Plex Mono is the monospaced member of the IBM Plex typeface family. This Homebrew cask installs font files, not a standalone application.
- The installed OTF files include Regular, Italic, Bold, and Bold Italic styles, along with Thin, ExtraLight, Light, Text, Medium, and SemiBold weights and their listed italic counterparts.
- The IBM Plex project describes its typeface family as open source under the Open Font License (OFL), and says Plex is designed for user interfaces and other media.
- These files are the IBM Plex Mono variant specifically; this cask does not install the separate IBM Plex Sans, Serif, or other family packages.
Install with brew install --cask font-ibm-plex-mono. After installation, select the installed IBM Plex Mono style by name in your text editor, terminal, or other application’s font settings.
