Mozilla Firefox Beta
Mozilla · A macOS edition of Firefox Beta for exploring and testing features planned for future Firefox releases.
About
Mozilla Firefox Beta is a desktop web browser for macOS and a pre-release channel of Firefox. Mozilla describes Beta as a way to test features intended for upcoming releases, in a pre-release build it calls its most stable. It is still an unstable testing and development platform, not the standard Firefox release.
- Browse the web using the Firefox Beta desktop application.
- Try features before they reach a stable Firefox release and provide feedback to Mozilla.
- The supplied Homebrew cask offers the English (US) build by default; other language builds are available through the cask.
- Mozilla says Beta sends data to Mozilla and sometimes its partners by default to help address problems and test ideas.
Install with brew install --cask firefox@beta. Homebrew installs Firefox.app in /Applications. The cask conflicts with the firefox, firefox@cn, and firefox@esr casks, so it cannot be installed alongside those casks. This is the Beta channel, not Firefox Nightly or Developer Edition. Choose it if you want to try upcoming changes and accept the instability associated with pre-release testing.
