About
DB Browser for SQLCipher Nightly is a graphical tool for working with SQLite and SQLCipher database files. This Homebrew cask installs the Nightly app variant, rather than the regular released edition. The project notes that nightly builds may be unreliable or may not work properly.
Its documented database tools let you:
- Create and compact database files, and create, modify, or delete tables and indexes.
- Browse, search, sort, add, edit, and delete records through a spreadsheet-like interface.
- Run SQL queries and inspect their results, with a log of SQL commands issued by the application.
- Import and export records as text, and move tables through CSV or databases through SQL dump files.
- Add, change, or remove SQLCipher encryption, and plot simple graphs from table or query data.
On macOS, install this cask with brew install --cask db-browser-for-sqlcipher@nightly. Homebrew places the app in /Applications. The project also documents builds for Windows, Linux, and Unix, but this cask installs the macOS app.
