About

Navicat for PostgreSQL is a graphical database administration and development tool for working with PostgreSQL servers. It brings database objects, table data, and SQL work into a visual interface.

  • Design database objects: Create, modify, and design objects such as tables, views, functions, and triggers using object designers.
  • Work with table data: View and edit records in a grid, with sorting and searching; foreign-key relationships can provide lookup selections.
  • Build and edit queries: Use the SQL Builder to construct queries and views, or write SQL in the editor with code-completion suggestions.
  • Manage data and databases: The product lists data transfer, synchronization, import and export, backup and restore, and automation among its capabilities.
  • Secure connections: It supports SSH tunneling with password or public/private key authentication, as well as HTTP tunneling.

Install the cask with brew install --cask navicat-for-postgresql. Homebrew installs Navicat for PostgreSQL.app in /Applications. The supplied cask is for macOS and installs the PostgreSQL edition, not Navicat for other database products. Navicat's website also describes Navicat Cloud features; those are not required to describe the locally installed application here.
