Brave Origin Beta

Brave Origin Beta is a standalone beta-preview browser for Apple Silicon Macs. It offers a streamlined version of Brave, centered on its ad blocking and privacy protections, with fewer built-in features to manage. This is the Beta variant, not Brave Origin Nightly or the regular Brave browser.

• Provides Brave Shields, including ad blocking and privacy protections.
• Focuses on a streamlined browser experience with a reduced set of built-in features.
• The official page describes Beta as a preview build bringing improvements and updates from the Nightly channel, intended for daily use.
• The official page says Origin releases receive Chromium patches and security and privacy improvements sent to Brave’s other releases.

Install with brew install --cask brave-origin@beta. The cask installs Brave Origin Beta.app in /Applications. Requires macOS 13 or later on an Apple Silicon Mac; this cask downloads an arm64 build. It provides the standalone desktop app, not an upgrade to an existing Brave app.
