About

teleport is a legacy virtual KVM application for macOS that lets you use one keyboard and pointing device with multiple Macs. In its client role, a Mac can control another Mac’s keyboard and pointing device; in its server role, it can allow another Mac to control its input devices. Pasteboard synchronization supports copying and pasting across Macs.

The software was discontinued, but users continue to work on it on an ad hoc basis. The maintainers focus on keeping the core features working and do not plan to add new features. The project identifies macOS Big Sur as a version on which the key features were known to work; this does not establish compatibility with later macOS releases. Earlier features such as file drag and drop, encrypted network traffic, and status displays are described as unsupported and may be removed if they break.
