Feishu

Feishu is a team collaboration workspace combining messaging, meetings, shared documents, calendars and structured tables. It suits organizations that want discussion, documents and workflow information connected in one service. Access to workspaces, shared files and administrative features depends on the organization and its configured permissions.

Mac installation and requirements

Mount the official DMG and install Feishu, or use brew install --cask feishu. The exact 8.1.17 catalog DMG is 643,721,316 bytes and its official filename identifies ARM64/Apple Silicon. Intel downloads are separate. The publisher's Mac App Store listing currently describes 8.0.6 with macOS 10.15 minimum; that is a different distribution/version and is not asserted as the inspected minimum of this 8.1.17 DMG. Exact DMG minimum macOS and a fixed RAM requirement were not established. Meetings, large documents and local caches require additional resources and storage.

Accounts, network and permissions

Sign in to a Feishu account or your organization's configured identity and join the appropriate workspace. Messaging, meetings, cloud documents and synchronization depend on network access and service availability. Camera/microphone access is needed for the meeting features you enable, and screen sharing requires the corresponding macOS capture permission. File access and notifications are optional workflow permissions; review their scope. A web version exists, but browser requirements do not establish desktop-app hardware support.

Plans, licensing and information sharing

Feishu is proprietary software with free/basic and paid organization/service options. The installer does not grant every enterprise feature or remove workspace storage/admin limits; review current plans with your organization. Shared links, meeting recordings, document permissions and third-party integrations can expose work information beyond the intended team. Verify recipients and link visibility, and follow the organization's retention and access policy before uploading sensitive files.

Practical limits and version evidence

Cloud synchronization does not replace independent recovery arrangements for important records. Test audio, camera and screen-sharing permissions before a meeting and keep recoverable exports where the service allows them. The latest three catalog bases are 8.1.17, 8.0.3 and 7.76.21; exact matching official Mac release changes were not verified, so no unrelated feature log is presented as those releases' changes.
