Checked official sources and limitations
The official macOS universal latest.json identifies 1.17.2 and its exact artifact, but updateTo.notes is the empty string. The official launcher help article documents a Changelog tab but supplies no 1.17.2-specific changes. The legacy launcher website says it is unsupported. This is the launcher, not the EVE game patch. https://support.eveonline.com/hc/en-us/articles/11058434966428-EVE-Online-launcher https://launcher.eveonline.com/
