Google Antigravity CLI
Google · Google’s terminal coding agent for code exploration, multi-file changes, custom agents and connected tools, with interactive and remote workflows.
介绍
Antigravity CLI is Google's terminal interface for agentic software development. It suits developers who want code exploration, multi-file changes and tool-assisted tasks without leaving a terminal, including SSH and tmux workflows. It is distinct from the Antigravity desktop application and can run independently.
Features
- Interactive conversations, code search and multi-file editing with reviewable plans and diffs.
- Tool execution with permission controls and sandbox behavior.
- Custom agents and subagents, skills, rules, hooks and plugins.
- MCP integrations for connected tools; providers may require separate credentials.
- Conversation history, resuming sessions and configurable themes and verbosity.
- Shared agent capabilities and configuration integrations with the Antigravity desktop experience.
Installation and first use
Install brew install --cask antigravity-cli, then run agy in your project directory. This cask links the supplied antigravity binary as agy. First launch guides theme/rendering choices, workspace trust and authentication. Google's official installer is another distribution option; avoid managing the same executable with competing installers.
Standard sign-in uses a Google account and applicable service access. Authentication can be stored in the native keyring: Apple Keychain, Linux Secret Service or Windows Credential Manager. Remote SSH sessions support opening the authentication URL in another browser and returning the code. Enterprise access can require organization/project onboarding.
Optional Gemini API mode requires both GEMINI_API_KEY and modelProvider: "gemini" in ~/.gemini/antigravity-cli/settings.json; the environment variable alone does not select that provider. API usage has its own quotas and billing. Remove the provider override before returning to normal account authentication. /logout clears stored session authentication but does not unset an API key supplied by your environment.
Systems and dependencies
The Homebrew cask requires macOS12 or later and selects Apple Silicon or Intel archives. Official CLI installation documentation also covers Linux, Windows and Googlebook; these are separate installations, not products installed by the Mac cask. No numeric Windows/Linux minimum or fixed RAM requirement was confirmed in the CLI documentation retrieved; do not substitute the desktop IDE's requirements.
The cask declares no additional formula dependency or explicit cask conflict. It supplies a native CLI, not a Node.js package requiring a separate npm installation. A working terminal and network access to the chosen service are needed. Project compilers, runtimes, Git, build tools and executables used by MCP integrations depend on the tasks you run and must be available separately. The desktop application is optional.
The official Apple Silicon1.3.1 archive is54,461,807 bytes, verified from its HTTP Content-Length. Installed files, caches and conversation data add storage beyond this download. Homebrew zap includes ~/.gemini/antigravity-cli; inspect and back up needed settings/history before removing that directory. Local cleanup does not delete a Google account.
Accounts, costs and licensing
Downloading the CLI does not imply unlimited model usage. Account eligibility, plan entitlements, service quotas and any paid AI credits govern hosted use; Gemini API mode follows that API's separate billing and quota rules. Check the current official plan and terms for your account and region.
Google's software/service terms apply. The public repository publishes documentation, examples and release history; its existence is not evidence that the complete distributed client is MIT- or Apache-licensed. Connected services and project dependencies have their own licenses. The README describes interaction-data collection and an opt-out setting; review the applicable privacy and enterprise terms before sending project content.
