介紹

Screaming Frog Log File Analyser is a macOS desktop application for examining website log files and understanding how search engine and AI bots access a site. It can process log data to help identify URLs bots have crawled, their crawl frequency, and activity over time.

  • Review response codes, broken links, errors, redirects, and URLs with inconsistent responses.
  • Examine crawl activity by URL, directory, bot, or IP, including average response time and bytes transferred.
  • Import a URL list or other data with a URLs column to compare against log data and find uncrawled or orphan URLs.
  • Verify search engine bots and inspect IP addresses associated with requests.
  • Work with Apache and W3C Extended log formats, including formats used by IIS and NGINX servers; the official site also lists Amazon Elastic Load Balancing custom logs. Files can be imported by drag and drop, with results exportable to CSV or Excel.

Install with brew install --cask screaming-frog-log-file-analyser. The cask installs the desktop app in /Applications and selects an Apple Silicon or Intel build to match the Mac's architecture. The free edition is limited to 1,000 log events and one saved project at a time; a paid licence removes those limits.
