介紹

Meru is a desktop app for using Gmail outside a browser tab. The macOS app is designed to bring multiple inboxes together in one place; the official site also describes versions for other operating systems, but this Homebrew cask installs the macOS app.

View multiple inboxes together rather than switching between accounts.
Receive native system notifications when messages arrive.
Use an extra confirmation step before opening links identified as unknown.
Block ads and trackers, according to the product site.

To install, run brew install --cask meru, then open Meru from Applications. The cask requires macOS 13 or later. Meru’s website describes a free option and a Pro offering; check the site for current plan details.
