Marathon is the opening game in the Marathon trilogy, a first-person shooter about survival aboard a colony ship attacked by the alien Pfhor. This Homebrew cask installs the Classic Marathon.app application.

The game is part of the Marathon series powered by the Aleph One engine. The official site describes Aleph One as supporting Marathon, Marathon 2, and Marathon Infinity, as well as community-made scenarios; this cask is specifically for Marathon, not those other games or scenarios. The site also describes multiplayer and co-op play for up to eight players across the series, but that does not establish that those features are included in this particular cask variant.

Install on macOS with:

brew install --cask marathon

After installation, open Classic Marathon.app from your Applications folder. The cask identifies macOS as its platform requirement and does not specify additional installation options.
