Mac Mouse Fix changes how a regular mouse works with macOS. Customize button actions, use mouse gestures for supported system actions and adjust scrolling behavior. It aims to bring trackpad-style navigation and smooth scrolling to compatible mice without requiring a particular premium mouse brand.

Buttons and scrolling

Configure actions for available mouse buttons and gestures, including workflows related to Spaces and Mission Control. The latest release restores gestures that simulate three-finger trackpad swipes on macOS 27 Golden Gate. Behavior depends on the mouse, application and selected action; not every device exposes the same controls. When Mac Mouse Fix captures a button for an assigned action, other applications may no longer receive that button directly.

Try the default behavior before adding many assignments. Check the result in the applications you use, particularly if another mouse driver or utility is running. Competing utilities can change event handling. Follow the publisher's setup prompts for required macOS permissions rather than assuming the app can remap input before permission is granted. You can disable the app to compare normal mouse behavior when troubleshooting.

The official 3.1.0 ZIP is 6017381 bytes in the release asset record and was downloaded for read-only inspection. Its main executable contains both x86_64 and arm64 Mach-O slices, verifying Intel and Apple Silicon support. The app's Info.plist declares macOS 10.15.0 as its minimum. The 3.1.0 release notes explicitly say Catalina support continues, while the general README recommends macOS 11 Big Sur or later and warns of visual or feature limitations on older systems. Treat the binary minimum as install compatibility, not a guarantee that every UI feature is identical on Catalina.

Trial, license and privacy

Mac Mouse Fix 3 is free to try for 30 days, then requires a paid license for the normal distributed app. The publisher states that a personal license works on all of the purchaser's Macs and covers 3.x versions; it can sync through iCloud when the same Apple Account is used. Check the current checkout for pricing and license terms. Mac Mouse Fix 2 is a separate older free line, not the same release as this 3.x package.
