介紹

GraalVM Java Development Kit is Oracle’s JDK for macOS. This Homebrew cask installs the JDK, not a separate graphical application. GraalVM can use the optimizing Graal just-in-time (JIT) compiler, and its Native Image technology can compile Java applications ahead of time into native executables.

  • Use Native Image to create native executables that can start without JVM warmup and can be packaged in compact containers.
  • Build Native Image applications through Maven or Gradle using the Native Build Tools plugins.
  • Test native applications with JUnit 5 support, and debug them with GDB or supported IDEs.
  • Native executables can optionally include monitoring capabilities such as JFR, JMX, heap dumps, and jvmstat.

Install with brew install --cask graalvm-jdk. The cask places the JDK in /Library/Java/JavaVirtualMachines/graalvm-25.jdk. Installing it means accepting Oracle’s GraalVM license. The supplied cask archive is for macOS on Apple silicon; the cask also defines an Intel variant.
