Emdash is a desktop development environment for coordinating coding agents. This Homebrew cask installs the macOS app, rather than a command-line-only tool. The product is described as open source and supports working with multiple agents in parallel.

  • Run agent tasks in separate Git worktrees, with each task’s branch, terminal, conversation, and review state kept together.
  • Review changes, commits, pull requests, and checks from within the app.
  • Preview local apps and remote previews in its built-in browser.
  • Organize reusable prompts, skills, and MCP tools, and schedule recurring agent work.

To install, run brew install --cask emdash. The cask requires macOS 12 (Monterey) or later and installs Emdash.app in /Applications. After installation, open Emdash and set up or select a supported coding agent to begin working. The product site names agents including Codex, Claude Code, Amp, and Antigravity; its description says that it supports other agents as well.

The cask is specifically for the macOS GUI app; the product’s mentions of Windows and Linux do not mean this installation installs those versions.
