Contour is a virtual terminal emulator for macOS, distributed here as an Apple silicon Homebrew cask. It combines a graphical terminal app with a contour command-line interface. The supplied cask requires macOS 13 or later.

GPU-accelerated rendering, terminal tabs, configurable key bindings, color schemes, and profiles are among its customization and display features.
It supports Unicode emoji and grapheme clusters, clickable hyperlinks, Sixel inline images, and ReGIS vector graphics.
The app includes shell-completion files for Bash, Zsh, and Fish, along with Contour terminfo data.
Contour can use a configuration file named contour.yml; the project describes daemon-based persistent sessions as experimental.
