介紹

Compositor is a macOS application for writing LaTeX documents. Its WYSIWYG editor lets you edit the rendered document and see changes as you type.

Switch to a LaTeX source editor with syntax highlighting and smart completions when you need direct source control.
Build formulas using the visual formula editor.
Use the included basic LaTeX distribution, based on TeXLive; the developer says no separate distribution setup is required to get started.
Open and save plain-text .tex documents. Packages referenced by documents that are not available locally can be downloaded automatically from CTAN.

Install with brew install --cask compositor, then open Compositor from your Applications folder. The Homebrew cask installs Compositor.app.

The supplied Homebrew package is for macOS. The developer’s site also mentions a Windows version, but that is not the variant installed by this cask. The official site describes the application as a free preview.
