介紹

Aptakube is a graphical Kubernetes desktop client for connecting to clusters and inspecting their resources. The Homebrew cask installs the macOS application, Aptakube.app.

Key capabilities include:

  • Connect to multiple clusters at the same time and view resources across them.
  • Review workload health, including failing pods, deployments that are not running, warning events, and recent restarts.
  • Stream live or historical logs from multiple pods and containers; filter and download logs.
  • View CPU and memory metrics for nodes and applications with metrics-server and Prometheus.
  • Inspect, create, and modify Kubernetes resources, including directly in YAML; compare resources across clusters or namespaces, and use quick actions such as restarting pods or scaling replicas.

To install the macOS cask, run brew install --cask aptakube. The official site says Aptakube uses the existing kubectl configuration without modifying it and does not require a custom server-side component. Its published product information also describes direct connections from the user's machine to the cluster API server. The cask is for macOS; the official site separately lists downloads for other operating systems.
