Описание

ClaudeBar is an independent Mac menu-bar application that displays supported AI-account usage and quota information. It suits people working with several AI tools who want to check remaining limits and recent activity without opening each provider’s dashboard. It is not the official Claude application and does not include a Claude, OpenAI or other provider subscription.

Usage display

The publisher describes support for multiple providers and coding tools, including Claude, Codex, Gemini and others. Depending on the provider, it can show session and weekly quotas, reset times, cost or token estimates and daily history. Provider adapters read different APIs, command-line tools, cookies or local logs; not every provider exposes the same measurements. Treat the provider’s own billing and account page as authoritative when display estimates differ.

The app offers appearance and text-size controls, optional notifications and optional leaderboard participation. Supported features can vary with provider authentication and service changes. A provider login or installed tool is needed only for the corresponding selected adapter; using one adapter does not require installing every supported command-line client.

Installation and Mac compatibility

The official ClaudeBar-0.5.10.dmg is 20,875,697 bytes. Read-only inspection confirms application 0.5.10, build 226, a macOS 15.0 bundle minimum and both arm64 and x86_64 executable slices. This selected release is Universal for compatible Apple-silicon and Intel Macs; external provider tools must also be compatible with the system.

The publisher recommends opening the DMG and dragging ClaudeBar.app into Applications, then launching it from there. brew install --cask claudebar is an alternative. Official ZIP releases and checksum files are also available. No additional Homebrew formula dependency is declared by the cask, but individual provider integrations may need their own installed and authenticated CLI. A recent release specifically improves selecting native Apple-silicon tool copies.

Credentials, permissions and connectivity

Configure only accounts and providers you intend to monitor. Network access is used for quota refresh and provider authentication where that adapter requires it. Reading local usage logs needs access to their locations; filesystem protections can limit availability. Optional notifications require permission if enabled. A menu-bar quota display is not a reason to grant all macOS privacy permissions by default.

Some integrations involve sensitive credentials. The current Mistral Vibe adapter can use a chat.mistral.ai cookie; such a cookie can grant account access and must not be shared in screenshots or issues. Review stored account data and adapters before publishing diagnostics. Opening selected provider links or running a selected CLI is distinct from monitoring all applications indiscriminately.

Sharing and privacy

Leaderboard participation can send selected profile and usage information to its server. Recent releases permit hiding the tab and stopping uploads; however, the official notes state that an already joined member’s name and days remain. Removing a globe entry, stopping future uploads and erasing prior server records are different actions. Review the feature documentation before joining.

The rank-share image is drawn on the Mac and can show or mask the name; the publisher says that drawing this image does not upload it. This local operation does not imply that a separately enabled leaderboard or provider refresh is offline. Preview a shared image because account names, usage patterns and workplace activity may be sensitive.

Fees, license and reliability

ClaudeBar’s source repository uses Apache 2.0. The application does not grant credits or entitlement for any paid AI service; those subscriptions and usage fees remain separate. Providers can change APIs, rate limits and authentication, so a monitor may temporarily be incomplete or stale. Verify quota resets and prices before making a spending decision, and keep confidential logs and cookies out of public bug reports.
